Kelundra Smith is a proud double dawg (A.B.J ‘11 and B.A. ’11) with degrees in magazine journalism and theater, and she earned her master’s degree from the Goldring Arts Journalism Program in the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. In her role as public relations coordinator, she works with the Alumni Association, Office of Special Events and Talent Management on their communications efforts.
Prior to returning to Athens, she was the digital marketing manager at Atlanta magazine, where she supported the sales team in creating digital proposals for brands such as Biscoff Cookies, The Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, and numerous tourism clients, as well as writing and editing sponsored content, managing all email marketing and trafficking online ad campaigns. Before venturing into the digital “Wild West,” she managed public relations and community engagement initiatives for Horizon Theatre in Atlanta and Syracuse Stage in Syracuse, NY. Additionally, she is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association and was a 2015 fellow at the National Critics Institute at the O'Neill Theatre Center. Her articles have appeared in The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Charleston Post & Courier, American Theatre magazine, Dramatics magazine, ArtsATL, and other publications. She is happy to be working at her alma mater with such a dynamic team.
